Major Donald Keyhoe
No single individual has done as much as Keyhoe to pierce the veil of
secrecy that imposed by the US military. As a former US Marine fighter
pilot Keyhoe earned the respect of military personnel, especially pilots,
who would often be willing to confide in him rather than the typical
amateur UFO investigator.
Keyhoe established the most objective investigating organization outside
government circles. It is no accident NICAP was targeted for infiltration
by the intelligence commnunity. Since its demise no successor has emerged
to effectively challege them. Donald Keyhoe died in 1988.
